Looking for a dinner option that’s quick, healthy, and totally toddler-approved? These Greek Chicken Skewers are a weeknight winner! Packed with flavor but gentle on little taste buds, they’re the perfect way to introduce your toddler to new herbs and textures without overwhelming their palate. Plus, they’re made with simple, wholesome ingredients you probably already have on hand.
What makes these skewers especially toddler-friendly is their fun, bite-sized format—tiny hands love holding their own little “stick dinner”! You can even skip the skewer and serve the chicken pieces on a plate for younger toddlers. Marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic, and a sprinkle of oregano, the chicken comes out tender and juicy every time. Serve them with a side of rice, some cucumber sticks, or even a little tzatziki for dipping, and you’ve got a balanced meal the whole family can enjoy.

Ingredients Needed for Greek Chicken Skewers
Kebab Sticks: Metal, reusable sticks or bamboo ones will work!
Chicken Breast: Cut into large chunks that will hold on well on the kebabs.
Greek Dressing: This is needed to marinate the chicken. You can use store-bought, or make your own. A simple recipe like this would work great!
Cherry Tomatoes: It’s important that you use cherry or grape tomatoes in this recipe. If you were to use large chunks of a regular tomato then they would fall off into the grill.
Red Onion: If you’re not a fan of onions, or adding the onions would make your toddler not want to eat it, then no worries, just leave this one off! You can also use different kinds of onions but red is the most common for Greek dishes like these Greek chicken skewers.
Zucchini: You can cut these in a variety of ways. I chose thick half moons and they held up great on the kebabs.
Yellow Squash: Same goes for the yellow squash. Just make sure they’re cut thick.

Baby-Led Weaning for Greek Chicken Skewers
These Greek chicken skewers are not intended for babies and the youngest toddlers. However, everything can be cooked as directed and then taken off and cut appropriately. I recommend using Solid Starts to help know how to serve each item by baby’s age!
