There’s nothing I love more than a day at Disney World with my family and a big cup of Dole Whip. Add in a ride on Aladdin’s Magic Carpet and I’m one happy mama. Since we don’t have any magic carpets laying around, I decided to make some Dole Whip at home instead! This healthy Dole Whip for kids recipe is a lighter take on the sugary treat you’ll find in the parks, and one you won’t feel guilty serving your kids all summer long. My toddler may have even had it for dinner once…it is what it is. Haha!
I make mine using my Ninja Creami, but you don’t need this fancy machine to get the job done. It just makes for a creamier, more accurate texture. The flavor is the same either way.
I know, there’s a lot of recipes out there for Dole Whip knock-offs. But almost all of them use ice cream or added sugar, and I didn’t think it was necessary, and definitely not something we need our toddlers eating a ton of! So, I made it without any added sugar, and while slightly less sweet, is just as incredibly delicious. It’s one of the best summer snacks for kids!

Ingredients Needed for Healthy Dole Whip for Kids
Pineapples: Fresh, frozen or canned pineapples will work here. If you are making this healthy Dole Whip for kids in the warmer months, then I highly recommend using fresh pineapples for the best flavor!
Banana: The banana barely comes through into the flavor of the healthy Dole Whip for kids, but makes the texture super creamy!
Coconut Cream: You can also use coconut milk here, but the coconut cream has more coconut and less water which results in a much thicker, creamier texture. Perfect for making super creamy ice cream!
Pineapple Juice: Just a little goes a long way here, but helps to enhance the pineapple flavor in this healthy Dole Whip for kids recipe! If you don’t have any, don’t worry; this can be left out if you’re using fresh pineapple.
